A durable, 1/8-scale 3D printed 7-cylinder dummy rotary engine for W.W.I era aircraft.
How many times have you seen a W.W.I biplane – or any rotary engine model aircraft, for that matter – rolled out sporting a beautifully spun aluminium cowl, a single cylinder four-stroke (or an electric motor) and a gaping hole where, in reality, there should be a gorgeous 7-cylinder rotary? You see it all the time! Of course, there’s a very good reason for this in that very few truly durable dummy rotary engines are available, which is precisely where this neat example comes in. 3D printed in tough, lightweight plastic with enough stand-off detail to properly look the part, this 1/6-scale lookalike will quite simply transform your Sopwith, Fokker, Nieuport, Bristol or, indeed, any number of Allied or Axis W.W.I aircraft. In the great scheme of things it’s a very small price to pay for an essential scale accessory
